Every month we are going to be announcing Iron Core CrossFit's Member of the Month! The member will be chosen based on what attribute we will be honing in on each month such as positivity, focus, team work and etc...
We have chosen this month's 'Member of the Month' based on her dedication.
By definition dedication is the quality of being dedicated or committed to a task or purpose. Because of this members dedication to the CrossFit sport she was able to not only achieve her ICCF goal that was expected to be done in March (see image below for proof!) - she accomplished above and beyond what she expected.
We all understand the work it takes to find the time between family, careers and life itself to put an hour or two aside to work on yourself. This member in particular has spent the past month in the gym at least 3-4x per week doing just that. When she is here she puts everything to the side and focuses on herself.. Something she probably doesn't have a chance to do very often. Because of this hard work and dedication we have seen her grow not only as a CrossFit Athlete but as an independent individual conquering goals each and every day.. Ladies and gentleman - Lets all congratulate this amazing woman for being named not only February's Member of the month, But Iron Core CrossFit's very FIRST candidate...Giavanna Ferrari Rumsey.

Fit-Camp Classes are designed to give you a total body workout and improve your overall fitness level in the shortest time possible. Classes are approximately 30 minutes long. Expect running and rowing, body weight exercises, plyometrics, kettle-bells, dumbbells, and functional movements.
Our Fit-Camp classes are suitable for all fitness levels. Beginner to advanced, participants experience a challenging, functional, and fun workout every class. Fit-Camp classes do not incorporate heavy strength training or barbell work like our regular CrossFit classes.
Our Fit-Camp classes are a great introduction to CrossFit. In no time you'll be ready to graduate to our CrossFit classes.

Iron Core CrossFit has moved to a new space within the same building at 111 Ling Road, 14612. We are excited to show off all of our hard work. We will be having an open house on Friday 12/4/15 from 4pm-8pm. Please feel free to stop in and see the new facility. Iron Core CrossFit is excited to announce we will start offering a weekly yoga class on Saturdays @ 10:15am. Cost is $10 for ICCF non-members & $5 for ICCF Boot-Camp & CrossFit members. You must sign up online if you want attend any of the yoga classes. Here is a link to register for classes.

Iron Core CrossFit's Power Play Strength & Endurance classes will focus on fundamental hockey-specific movements.The goal is to optimize physical competence in each of the ten recognized fitness domains. They are Cardiovascular and Respiratory Endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy. As you can image improvement in these 10 areas will help anyone become a better hockey player. Being strong on your skates and having the ability to quickly recover between shifts are two of the most important aspects of hockey. Also Iron Core CrossFit is conveniently located next door to Lakeshore Hockey Arena on Ling Road. More details soon!!
